Guuuh... Just spend the last hour or so trying to dig for Devil Survivor artwork. The only thing I managed to find was a comic anthology, but I can't seem to find any scans for it, so boo. T_T Help anyone?
So it appears I'm going with my family to see the sixth Harry Potter film on Wednesday. That should be exciting (for me at least). I am, after all a HP fan (although I'm a bit reluctant to say so, with so many better books out there), and the fifth movie restored a small amount of faith I had in the franchise which the third movie had dashed. Seriously, the Prisoner of Azkaban movie was so bad in my eyes I boycotted Goblet of Fire, and still have yet to see it to this day.

Aaah... I get tomorrow off, the house to myself for the weekend, and a good beer in my hand. I'm happy.
So I have some extremely good new, and extremely bad news.
The good news? My cousin was born today! 22+ inches long and I think my mom said 8 lbs. He's a freaking monster, but none of us are really surprised by that, seeing who his dad is. So yay!
The bad news? Remember when I mentioned that we had found a long-lost sect of my grandmother's family? Well, her brother Albert had been fighting cancer. Luckily, my grandma and my great-uncle (her twin) managed to go out to California and meet him, but... Well, he passed away this morning. Sad days mixed with happy days.

Man, what's up with all the celebrity deaths lately? Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, and now Billy Mays... I thin someone's picking them off or something.
Anyway, I found this video on Kotaku, and felt everyone might need some cheering up after the recent tragedies.
EDIT: Wow, Billy seems to be getting more love than I ever saw MJ getting... not counting the paparazzi.

Sooo much going on, and I'm not sure if I can remember it all at the moment.
First thing! I'mma be a cousin soon! Again! My uncle and his wife are due to have their first kid, Spencer, sometime this week/early next week. My family is incredibly excited for the baby to come, regardless of the fact that my uncle lives in Florida.
So on the entertainment front, I got Knights in the Nightmare recently. Fun game. I kinda wish there was a character I could play (and I'm sure there is, but with 120+ characters and no alternate facial expressions, creating a journal'd be rather hard). I love Dept. Heaven games. ^^ Then there's... lesse... I finished Clannad recently (soooo sad TAT), I'm reading through the manga of Kanon (which is different from the anime/game. Yuuichi and Naiyuki both have the same amount of... screentime? and they help the various people together instead of just Yuuichi doing it. Weird take on the series, but I like it a lot), I'm still trudging through the last Dark Tower book, aaand I started a few new mangas: Psyren (psycic people fighing in a different land), Popcorn Avatar (...hard to explain, only one chapter out) and Chrno Crusade (if you don't know what that is... *pat pat*).
That's about it for me. Wish I had some better stories, but hey, at least it's all positive this time!
Also, I want Devil Survivor...

I saw the Neverending Story for the first time today. I... uh... I dunno what to say except... that movie was laughably bad. Oh, I'm sure for kids, it's an amazing journey, but for a 21-year-old actor, it seemed like a huge joke! Sooo much bad acting and 80's puppetry. Made for a good laugh for me and Mariah though.
In the "actual news" department, I finally decided on what cosplays I'm doing for Nan Desu Kan! First up, the one I've been planning for some time, Drake Anderson from Read or Die. Next in line is Shinjiro Aragaki from Persona 3. Last but not least, Yajiro Kojima of Grenadier fame. All of them are group costumes (I've got a Yomiko for Drake, Aki and Mitsuru for Shinji, and Rushuna and Teppa for Yajiro) but I feel like Shinji and Yajiro could be done solo in case I want to go wandering around by myself, so I'm satisfied with them. Now I just gotta get them all done by mid-September! ...Whee!

Memorial day. A nice day to relax, and I guess I did that today, although it got a bit abnormal (by my normal day's standards). So...
My dad had a race to run today, so he ran it and I helped clean the house 'till he came back with my aunt and uncle and cousin and cousin's friend. I had a beer with them, had a braut with them, and my cousin said to me, "Hey! I'm going to the Mills to waste some money and get away from my dad! Wanna come?" I went "meh" until my parents pointed out that I was headed that way later on to visit Ramey on her break... so I was dragged off with my 18-year-old cousin and his friend. They went to Target and wanted to go somewhere away from the mall for a while, so I decided to stay and, y'know, wait for Ramey's break. I went to visit her, we had some dinner, and it started to rain... a lot. And we're in Colorado. Generally, I haven't seen it rain recently for more than five minutes at a time (granted I've been living in Grand Junction most of the time, and it's a freaking deasert) and then my cousin called and asked if I wanted to go see Terminator. Seeing as he was my only ride home, I was kind of inclined to accept the invintation. So I raaan to the theater across the way from the bookstore in the pouring rain, soaking my socks in the process, and went into Target only to find I couldn't cut through the mall because it was closed. So I ran aaal the way around the mall (not actually running, and not as far as I'm making it sound) to get to the theater. Then I get there and I find out that my cousin was thrown out for trying to sneak in, so I wait for him to buy a ticket and find out that he's dragged two high school girls along (his friend was still there, so one for each of them) and we went in. Then I went home after some crazy driving-in-the-rain-with-a-dipshit driving. Sooo... That was my day.
THERE IS SO MUCH RAIN...

Baw, last few days could have gone much better.
So Wednesday I was forced (in a manner of speaking) to go with my brother's class while they went on a one-night camping trip. Camping? Fine. A bunch of second and third graders that I don't even know? Not so fine. But hey, I'd figured they'd have it all planned out and they'd tell me what they want me to do, so you know, I'd know what the hell I was supposed to do.
Of course, not so much luck.
So yeah, I had absolutely nothing to do. Of course, the massive amount of parents that volunteered to help didn't help with that, and it also didn't help that I had nothing in common with any of them, so I ended up finishing the novelized version of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.... and then started it and almost finished it again. That's seriously how much free time I had. I was so freaking bored that I fell asleep two hours before the kids did (granted I passed out at 10, but still). Got back Thursday, sat on the computer for a couple hours, and headed to my first day at Atlanta Bread Company... for the fifth time. That's right. I really need to find another company to work for on vacations.
But work was allright, albiet a bit on the dull side. You see, I'm washing dishes for ABC currently, and seeing as I'm actually a competent employee, I get stuff done early and have time to spare. Perhaps a little too much time, seeing as I took my DS in and actually had time to beat down the E4 in Pokemon Plat again. So boring job worked four days in a row every week is exceedingly boring. I need to find a second job for this break...
So that's enough of my complaining. I get to go visit my grandparents tomorrow, and I'm digging through PokeSupe now so I can app someone somewhere, so things are looking up for me.

So now I'm home again for the summer! Hurrah!
The last few days (barring yesterday) have been kinda odd, probably due to the fact that I was staying at Jacob's house. It's hard to explain, it's just been... weird. And his sister's birthday party on Friday probably didn't help any, what with all the "Awtos" jokes (bashing on our friend who's nicknamed "Artos") and playing Pokemon Crystal on turbo so I start at 1 in the morning and get the first eight badges by 5 in the morning. I woke up the next day wanting to hit the turbo button on Sonic 3 on an Xbox (sad, no?).
But yes! I'm back in town! I went and spend the day (after I came in) at
forgo 's place, celebrating Dory's graduation. Today is a yardwork/unpack day, tomorrow's my birthday (21!), and I'm gonna go see Star Trek on Tuesday with Ramey ^^. I also need to call my friend Devon, since he's on leave from the Navy 'till the 30th, and I need to hang out with Jess, seeing as she's still got my Apollo Justice game. >.>
And now I really want to go swimming.

So, before I begin this post, yes the following link is to a porn site, and no I am not linking you to porn. I give you my word as a gentleman.
This is what I'm wanting to show you all: a Haruhi fighting game! It doesn't have very many play options and I can't get the Network feature to work, but watching 3D chibis of my favorite Haruhi characters duking it out? I was up 'till 1:00 last night playing this thing! Plus, it has a really nice challenge at the end of story mode, although that alone took me three hours to beat. Seriously, it was hard. But hey, fun game! I suggest you give it a try if you like the anime/novels!
I'm not writing a review because there's already a billion out there. That, and I just woke up.
And for those of you wondering, my week has indeed been much better since I last posted. :)

So I never mentioned my school's production schedule for next year, did I?
So the lesser, smaller, not-singing plays consist of Absolute Turkey, a Farce comedy (a style I've always wanted to perform in) and The Fable Factory, a fun little money-saver in which the Playwrighting class (including myself) is going to rewrite several renditions of childrens fairy tales.
And then we have the musicals. Brace yourselves, there's two big titles next year. We open the season with none other than the infamous Rocky Horror Show, and then move on to put on The Producers!
Once I stop being burned out, next year is gonna be fuuun. :D
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have an Irish monologue to memorize.

So. Uh. I promised I'd update over two weeks ago, and then I never got around to doing it. Whoops. |D
I got done with the Fuddy Meers, and I'm still suffering from "lack-of-rehearsal" withdrawals. What? Don't look at me like that, it was an amazing show to do and I miss it greatly! I'll have to post some pictures up when I download them off of our floor manager's Facebook.
I picked up Pokemon Platinum not too long ago. Surprisingly, I'm really enjoying it. Surprisingly because I had sold my Diamond version because I had been burnt out on the series. But Platinum just feels like a refreshing change, so I'm happy that I bought it. Plus, it'll keep me busy over the summer. :D
Speaking of summer, I'm going home in just about three more weeks. I can't wait! I really, really, REALLY need a break from school, and I'd love to be able to spend time with Ramey again. Plus, my birthday hits a couple of days after I get home, so that'll be interesting to see how that works itself out.
Last but not least, I got litereally no sleep last night. None. Why you ask? Because a friend gave me an anime called Kanon, and I watched it to the point where all the good cliffhangers kept coming so I couldn't turn it off. It's honestly the first harem show that I've been able to enjoy since Negima, and I don't mean the anime version of Negima. I mean the original manga form of it. So yes, if you like drama and lots and lots of miracles and sad stuff, I'd reccomend it.

-Directing
...That does not look like a fun schedule, but Spring '10'll be more hectic. The cool thing is, if I decide to take Dance Appreciation online, I will have absolutely NO classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Which means I can have a job again!

So, uh, sorry I haven't been around here the past few days, LJ's been really wonky and wouldn't load half the time. Looks like the problem got solved, whatever it was.
Anyway, so my grandma was goofing around on the internet sometime around Wednesday when she discovered the obituaries for her parents. Before I go any further, I should explain that my grandma and her twin brother were separated from the rest of their family when they were about 8 years old because of parental abuse. Ever since then, she hasn't been able to even find a hint of her birth family, so these obituaries were a HUGE deal to find. My mom, being the proactive person she is, then decided to Google my grandma's siblings' names, and surprisingly was able to get into contact with my Great Aunt Rosie. Rosie sent my mom a picture, and sure enough, there is no mistake. There is definitely no way that my grandma could not be related to them. Just take a look!
So yay! We now have contact with a branch of the family that had been lost for over sixty years!

Why is it that whenever I come back to Grand Junction, I loose most of my drive to RP for a week or so? Just... something I found odd.
So anyway, I got back to this town yesterday and me and my ride and her boyfriend were all like "well... we all just got some form of money... let's go to Gamestop!" So I ended up getting Metal Gear Solid 2, Xenosaga Ep. 1&2, and the PC version of Assassin's Creed (which ironically my laptop can't handle, even though it's brand new and technically has more than the basic requirements) for $1.64. Thank you, gift cards and trade ins!
And my last point, I'm thinking that I'm gonna transfer my journal into a Friends-Only form soon. So expect that change shortly in the future. When I'm feeling more motivated.

Then I go and have fun rushing through the first dungeon.

It keeps going on like that. The gameplay itself is fun though, and you're not stuck with an annoying whiny character for the entire game when you play single player.
